When he’s not writing Good Life songs or touring under his own name, Tim Kasher still plays in Cursive – the band that made him famous long ago. Or was it him who made the band famous? Wait, does anyone even know who the hell Tim Kasher is?
For this Chicago stop, Tim’s playing with Cursive in promotion of their 7th studio album, I am Gemini.

Compliments of their intensely descriptive facebook page: “Margot [& the Nuclear So and So's] is a rock band from Chicago and Indianapolis.” They even went so far as to add, “They make recorded music and play shows.” They’re heading on tour to promote their fourth-ish* full-length, which comes out tomorrow.

So I’m dumb and bought tickets to Of Montreal and Rodriguez on the same night. I’m going to Rodriguez because he might not come back around, but tell me this doesn’t look fun:
Sixto Rodriguez is coming to the Arie Crown Theatre for a show put together by the good people at Schuba’s and Lincoln Hall. If you haven’t seen Searching for Sugar Man yet, you should really check out his story of great early 70s records that flopped in the US, unknown fame in South Africa and the hunt for the mysterious man from Detroit.
