Show Calendar

August 2012 – April 2014

Aug 3 Fri
Lollapalooza @ Grant Park
12:00 pm – Sunday @ 10:00 pm

I anticipate getting dragged to other stages with a group or being too hung over to get there early, but in a perfect world, here’s my 2012 Lolla schedule.

Sep 15 Sat
Riot Fest @ Humboldt Park @ Humboldt Park
11:30 am – Sunday @ 9:30 pm

Friday @ Congress Theatre
Saturday + Sunday @ Humboldt Park (Division and California)

It’s a little late in the season, and in kind of a weird place but it’s cheap.

Tickets

Elvis Costello | Iggy & the Stooges| Nofx | Gogol Bordello | Alkaline Trio | Dropkick Murphys | Descendents | Offspring | Coheed and Cambria | More

Oct 17 Wed

Opener: Only Son

May 17 Fri
Of Montreal @ Lincoln Hall
8:00 pm – 11:00 pm

Tix

So I’m dumb and bought tickets to Of Montreal and Rodriguez on the same night. I’m going to Rodriguez because he might not come back around, but tell me this doesn’t look fun:

Jun 13 Thu
Bonnaroo 2013
12:00 pm – Sunday @ 1:00 pm

My first camping festival! Figured I should do it before I’m too old…

A bit of a Lollapalooza overlap, but come on, Paul McCartney!

Aug 2 Fri
Lollapalooza 2013 @ Grant Park
12:00 pm – Sunday @ 10:00 pm

Never miss it. Scored a 3 day in the 5 seconds before they sold out. Hope my buddies don’t get scalped too hard to get in…

Oct 21 Mon
Unknown Mortal Orchestra @ Lincoln Hall
8:00 pm – 11:00 pm
Oct 25 Fri
Desaparecidos @ Metro
9:00 pm – 11:45 pm

Tickets

I’ve seen Conor Oberst with Bright Eyes, Monsters of Folk, and as himself, but never with Desaparecidos – his rock band. They put out one awesome record called Read Music, Speak Spanish 10 years ago and then disappeared until reuniting for a small reunion tour last summer. This is their first time in Chicago since reforming.

Apr 1 Tue
Tim Kasher @ Living Room Show
8:00 pm – 10:00 pm

Tim Kasher, the front man for Cursive and The Good Life, is doing a solo acoustic living room tour. Tell me this doesn’t sound awesome?
