Show Calendar
August 2012 – January 2013
I anticipate getting dragged to other stages with a group or being too hung over to get there early, but in a perfect world, here’s my 2012 Lolla schedule.
Friday @ Congress Theatre
Saturday + Sunday @ Humboldt Park (Division and California)
It’s a little late in the season, and in kind of a weird place but it’s cheap.
Tickets
Elvis Costello | Iggy & the Stooges| Nofx | Gogol Bordello | Alkaline Trio | Dropkick Murphys | Descendents | Offspring | Coheed and Cambria | More
I’m super jealous of anyone from one of the half dozen cities he’s visiting with Desaparecidos, his one-record rock band that hasn’t played together for 10 years, but I’ll take what I can get with public transit. Conor Oberst, the Omaha native behind Bright Eyes, is stopping through Chicago for a solo show at the Riverfront Theatre. I had actually never heard of the venue, but it looks pretty awesome. It’s a big, cool looking tent on the river and I’m excited to check it out.
Opener: Van Dyke Parks

Opener: Dylan Leblanc
I was too hung over to catch their noon set on Friday at Lolla so I’ll be heading to the Metro in September to get my fix of the Swedish sister duo.
Opener: Only Son
I passed up their Lolla pre-show which I heard was amazing so I scored tickets right away for their November return to Chicago at the House of Blues. Should be a pretty good way to celebrate my birthday! If only it wasn’t on a Monday…
Here’s a look at what you missed if you didn’t catch them at Lolla this year. See if you can spot me in the crowd.
